5 Roblox Accounts With Zero Public Friends (And Why)

1. Admin (User ID 1)

The very first Roblox account. According to the Roblox Fandom wiki, Admin was created by David Baszucki on June 30, 2004 to test the publishing-and-login flow during the pre-launch DynaBlocks era (see our DynaBlocks history post). It has zero public friends because it was never used as a social account. It exists to be the lowest user ID on the platform — a kind of "ground zero" for Roblox's account database. 2. John Doe (User ID 2)

The second account. John Doe was created by Baszucki and Erik Cassel on June 25, 2005. It was used internally as an NPC for testing player-system features in the early alpha. After the March 18 2017 hacker hoax, Roblox deliberately wiped the account's friend list to stop it being misused in clickbait videos. Result: zero public friends, and unlikely to ever change.

3. Jane Doe (User ID 3)

Same story as John Doe. Created the same day, used for the same testing purposes, wiped after the same 2017 hoax. Jane Doe's profile has been maintained with zero connections ever since.

4. Builderman (User ID 156)

This is the famous one, and the reason is more interesting than "Roblox just wiped it." Builderman is David Baszucki's developer-facing account, the one with the hard-hat-and-yellow-vest avatar. For most of Roblox's early history, Builderman was automatically friended to every new user that signed up — he was effectively everyone's first friend.

This changed in 2015 when Roblox launched its Followers system. Per the official Roblox blog announcement of friends and followers in 2015, every existing friendship to Builderman was migrated into a follow relationship instead. Builderman now has tens of millions of followers but a deliberately empty friend list. 5. Roblox / Roblox Corporation accounts

The actual "Roblox" username as well as various other staff/system accounts (like @Telamon's historical states, plus a handful of accounts used for support and moderation) are also kept connection-free by design. These accounts exist to brand and represent the platform, not to socialize. Their friend lists are either empty or maximum-privacy.

Bonus: terminated and banned accounts

Beyond the by-design-empty accounts above, plenty of high-profile banned accounts also show zero friends — when Roblox terminates an account, the user's profile becomes inaccessible and friend connections are stripped from the public API. This is why if you try to search a path to certain old YouTuber accounts that were caught up in past moderation actions, you'll get a "no path found" with a banned-account notice.

And UK-located accounts

One more category, technically not zero-by-design: UK-located accounts have their friend lists hidden by default as of late 2023 due to the UK Online Safety Act (full post on this). The accounts have friends — you just can't see them through the public API. From FriendPath's perspective, the effect is the same as a zero-friend account.

Why this matters for searching

If you try to use FriendPath to find a path to any of these accounts, you'll get a "no path found" result — not because there's no real-world social connection, but because the friend graph literally has no edges leading out of the target node. The same applies to any account whose friend list is empty, private, banned, or UK-restricted.
